All of our wood products are sourced from companies that follow responsible harvesting practices.  Wood is a natural and renewable resource and the species we use are generally fast-growing.

All UBBH products are produced with the highest level of craftsmanship, using only high quality materials.  Our products are guaranteed to arrive to our customers free from manufacturing defects.  Wood products do require regular care and maintenance to maintain their beauty and ensure their longevity.  We include care instructions with every wood product we sell.  Being a natural product, wood will always be perfectly imperfect.

UBBH products are handcrafted in our state of the art facility, located in Ontario, Canada, using proprietary processes that ensure the highest quality end product available. 

Being a very new company (we’ve only been in operation for 4 months) we haven’t yet had an opportunity to do as much as we would like to with regard to these types of contributions.  We are currently participating in our town’s weekly Farmer’s Market both to sell our items and to try to help raise the awareness of members of the community that it exists.  This participation has also allowed us to get to know and network with other small businesses in our area including farmers and flower growers among others.  We absolutely love our community and look forward to becoming more involved as our business grows.

Our product offerings are varied and as a result our prices are too.  Our wood products range in price from $70 - $175 Canadian. 

Any item received that is defective can be returned to us for replacement within 48 hours of receipt. 

Our website will automatically calculate and offer our customers multiple options for shipping depending on their needs.  The costs will vary depending on where the customer is located, what products they are purchasing and how quickly they wish to receive their order.

Wood boards and trays can last multiple lifetimes if they receive proper care and maintenance.  Treat them well and they can become family heirlooms.

We include a care card with full instructions in every order we fulfill.  To properly care for your trays and boards, simply wash with warm water, mild dish soap and a non-abrasive cloth immediately after use.  Dry with a clean, soft cloth and stand upright to allow the board to air-dry completely (do not leave the board laying on your counter to dry unless it has feet that raise it up, allowing for air flow and proper drying).  Approximately once a month, depending on frequency of use, trays and boards should be wiped down with a food-safe mineral oil and left for a couple of hours until it is absorbed.  Wipe the excess oil from the board.  As needed, apply a conditioning board butter, like Unique Boutique’s Board Butter, to seal the wood and keep it looking its best. 

We are currently working on a collaboration with a local flower farm and are excited to see what this yields.  We are always open to working with other companies to our mutual benefit but as a new company we are still more focused on building our brand and expanding our product offerings. 

We offer a wide range of trays and boards including standard cutting boards, shaped cutting boards, charcuterie boards, 2 styles of charcuterie trays, and a wide range of shaped trays.  If there is a shape or style of board or tray you have in mind that we don’t currently offer, reach out to us at helen@ubbh.ca and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 

We source all of our raw materials from lumber supplies who deal only with responsible harvesters.

Our trays and boards are made from various species of wood including Canadian Maple, Cherry, Black Walnut, Zebra Wood and Purple Heart.  In addition we use only food-safe glue, food-safe mineral oil and a food-safe conditioning board butter.
