FAQs:

1. Are there different designs or styles available for the medium trays? 

We currently offer 11 different designs for medium trays on our website.  We are always open to creating something different so feel free to email helen@ubbh.ca with any requests and we will do our best to accommodate you.  

2. Are the materials used for the trays sustainably sourced or certified? 

All of our wood products are sourced from companies that follow responsible harvesting practices.  Wood is a natural and renewable resource and the species we use are generally fast-growing.

3. Can the medium trays be customized with engravings or special finishes? 

We currently only offer engraving on our charcuterie trays.  However, depending on the design of the tray, it could be an option.  If you have a special request, feel free to reach out to helen@ubbh.ca to discuss.  

4. Can these trays be used for purposes other than serving, such as decor? 

Absolutely.  All of our wood products receive a food-safe finish but that doesn’t mean they aren’t suitable for other uses.  The only considerations to keep in mind when it comes to how and where you will use them are to protect them from any exposure to a direct heat source or water.

5. Does UBBH collaborate with local artisans or sustainable suppliers? 

We currently do not have any collaborations with local artisans ongoing, however we work only with raw material suppliers whose sources follow responsible harvesting practices.

6. How durable are the medium trays for frequent use? 

Wood is a highly durable material, making it ideal for frequent use.  With proper care and maintenance, your wood tray can last several lifetimes.  

7. How should I care for and maintain a medium tray? 

We include a care card with full instructions in every order we fulfill.  To properly care for your trays and boards, simply wash with warm water, mild dish soap and a non-abrasive cloth immediately after use.  Dry with a clean, soft cloth and stand upright to allow the board to air-dry completely (do not leave the board laying on your counter to dry unless it has feet that raise it up, allowing for air flow and proper drying).  Approximately once a month, depending on frequency of use, trays and boards should be wiped down with a food-safe mineral oil and left for a couple of hours until it is absorbed.  Wipe the excess oil from the board.  As needed, apply a conditioning board butter, like Unique Boutique’s Board Butter, to seal the wood and keep it looking its best.

8. Is there a return or exchange policy? 

Any item received that is defective can be returned to us for replacement within 48 hours of receipt.

9. What are the dimensions of the medium trays? 

We currently offer 11 different styles of medium trays, each with it’s own unique size and shape.  The dimensions of most trays are listed in the description on the website.  If you require further information, please feel free to reach out to helen@ubbh.ca and we will be happy to help. 

10. What are the shipping options and costs? 

Our website will automatically calculate and offer our customers multiple options for shipping depending on their needs.  The costs will vary depending on where the customer is located, what products they are purchasing and how quickly they wish to receive their order.

11. What is the price range for the medium trays? 

All of our medium trays retail for $125 Canadian.

12. What materials are used to make these trays? 

Our trays and boards are made from various species of wood including Canadian Maple, Cherry, Black Walnut, Zebra Wood and Purple Heart.  In addition we use only food-safe glue, food-safe mineral oil and a food-safe conditioning board butter.

13. Are there any promotions or discounts available when purchasing multiple trays?
