Pen Tray - This tray can be used for anything at all but is sized perfectly to hold pens or other similar objects. Crafted from cherry and purple heart, it measures 22” x 3” x 1.25”

Organizer - This tray is perfect for keeping small items contained but can also be used as a candy dish. It is constructed from maple, cherry, black walnut, and zebra wood and measures 11.5” x 5” x 1.25”

Catch All - This tray is NOT food-safe and should be used only as a catch-all type tray. It is constructed from walnut, cherry, and maple wood and measures 11” x 8.25” x 7/8”

Acorn - This cute tray is perfect for serving nuts or anything else your heart desires. It is constructed of maple, walnut and cherry and measures 13” x 8” x 1.25”

Striped Acorn - This acorn features more a more striking striped look featuring maple, walnut, and cherry. It measures 13” x 8” x 1.25”

Dog Bone - This cute tray is sure to appeal to dog owners and can be used for absolutely anything you like. It is made from cherry, maple, black walnut and zebra wood and measures 13.5” x 6” x 1.25”

1. Are there any specific environmental benefits to choosing a small tray from UBBH? 

Yes!  Unlike plastics which are created from fossil fuels, wood is a natural, renewable resource which makes it much more environmentally friendly.  In addition, our production methods have a much lower impact on the environment, and wood is biodegradable too.  

2. Are there any partnerships or collaborations that influence UBBH's tray designs? 

Our designs are generally influenced only by our desire to highlight the natural beauty of the wood we are working with.  

3. Can I customize the design or size of the small tray? 

Yes, absolutely!  We welcome any customization requests and will do our best to accommodate your needs with our designs.  Simply reach out by e-mail to helen@ubbh.ca and let’s talk about what you are hoping to achieve.  

4. Can the small tray be used for purposes other than serving? 

It can!  There are no limits to how you can use our products.  We ensure they are food-safe to provide the end user with the option to use them for food, however, they are suitable for absolutely any use you can think of provided they are not submersed in water or left near a heat source.

6. How does UBBH ensure the quality of their small trays? 

All of our wood products go through multiple quality assurance checks by our craftsmen during the manufacturing processes.  In addition, we use only the highest quality raw materials and we ensure our processes are perfected by making prototypes before we produce any products for sale.  

7. How should I care for and maintain the small tray? 

We include a care card with full instructions in every order we fulfill.  To properly care for your trays and boards, simply wash with warm water, mild dish soap and a non-abrasive cloth immediately after use.  Dry with a clean, soft cloth and stand upright to allow the board to air-dry completely (do not leave the board laying on your counter to dry unless it has feet that raise it up, allowing for air flow and proper drying).  Approximately once a month, depending on frequency of use, trays and boards should be wiped down with a food-safe mineral oil and left for a couple of hours until it is absorbed.  Wipe the excess oil from the board.  As needed, apply a conditioning board butter, like Unique Boutique’s Board Butter, to seal the wood and keep it looking its best.  

8. Is the small tray treated or sealed for water resistance? 

All of our wood products are treated with food-safe mineral oil and our proprietary conditioning board butter before they leave our shop.  These finishes will help seal the wood and protect it from moisture.  That being said, wood products should never be exposed to water other than for a quick washing up after use.  Our wood products similarly should not be exposed to any heat source.  

9. What are the dimensions of the small tray? 

Each tray is a different shape and size so the dimensions are listed on the website with each individual tray.  

10. What are the materials used to make the small tray? 

Our trays and boards are made from various species of wood including Canadian Maple, Cherry, Black Walnut, Zebra Wood and Purple Heart.  In addition we use only food-safe glue, food-safe mineral oil and a food-safe conditioning board butter.  

11. What is the return policy for the small tray? 

Any item received that is defective can be returned to us for replacement within 48 hours of receipt.  

12. What are the shipping options and costs for the small tray? 

Our website will automatically calculate and offer our customers multiple options for shipping depending on their needs.  The costs will vary depending on where the customer is located, what products they are purchasing and how quickly they wish to receive their order.  

13. Where does the wood used for the small trays come from? 

We source all of our raw materials from lumber supplies who deal only with responsible harvesters.  The maple, cherry and black walnut are all harvested in North America while the zebra wood comes from Central Africa and the purple heart is grown in abundance in Brazil.
